God’s Commandments are not Burdensome

God’s Commandments are not Burdensome

1 John 5:2-5 We know we love God’s children if we love God and obey his commandments. Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome. For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. NLT

GOD’S COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT BURDENSOME
1. because we live by trusting God Himself..By faith in Him that works in us; not by our effort that puts the burden on us. Jesus asked us to give Him our burden and take His rest. What we can not do, is possible for Him. Only through the power of Christ’s Spirit can we overcome this world. Therefore only those who believe that He is the son of God, the savior and the Christ can now run to Him for help. Those who accept Him as the strength of their lives, their only hope of glory, their savior, He saves them daily from evil by empowering them to overcome it and directing them away from it by His Spirit and giving them wisdom by His word to be a light unto their path of life. Only them overcome the world

WHAT IS THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD IN THE NEW TESTAMENT
If someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth. But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did. (‭1 John‬ ‭2‬:‭4-6‬ NLT)

ANSWER
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. (‭1 John‬ ‭3‬:‭22-24‬ KJV)

WHY
Owe nothing to anyone, except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law. For the commandments say, “You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not covet.” These and other such commandments are summed up in this one commandment: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law. (‭Romans‬ ‭13‬:‭8-10‬ NLT)

But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. (‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ NLT)

LOVE IS NOT FEELINGS
If love were mere feeling, then our Lord will not go to the cross. It was not a wonderful feeling to be on that cross. If love were feeling, then we will not love our enemies. God is love and the Scripture says that God is greater than our feelings… Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything. (‭1 John‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬ NLT)

WHAT IS LOVE
Selflessness!!!! Compassion that responds to others needs at their own expense… Love kills self completely. It is no more about what I want or feel like doing, it is about what is best for another and that pleases God, regardless of whether they deserve it or not. We owe it to them anyway. Who is right or wrong does not arise. The issue is, we owe it to them regardless!!!!! We do not deserve God’s love but He gave it to us and still loves us anyway.

This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. (‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭10‬ NLT)
HE WHO LOVES LIVES IN GOD AND GOD IN HIM!!!!! Let us live LIKE CHRIST…..living in Christ and let Christ live through us. This is the primary ministry. Every other thing is secondary, and as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. (‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭17‬ NLT)
